For the book enthusiasts young and old, there is a wonderful variety of Matariki events running across the Christchurch Libraries through July, including activity zones & storytimes. Turanga in the central city is open on the Matariki public holiday on 14 July, from 10am to 5pm. Foundation cafe is open 8.30-4pm so you can grab your caffeine fix.

Our Central Library hosts a range of storytelling events, including bilingual storytime and sharing stories from cultures around the world. Learn something new in beautiful, welcoming surroundings. Christchurch Central Library was a library in Central Christchurch and the main library of Christchurch City Libraries, New Zealand. It was the largest library in the South Island and the third-biggest in New Zealand.
