Silvermoon
Silvermoon is a New Zealand-owned and operated jewellery business, based in Christchurch. The company opened its first outlet in 2000. In 2017 the owner, Simon Thwaites, sold the business and on 1 August 2024 he bought it back. He missed the industry, his staff, the suppliers and the beautiful jewellery.
The brand was relaunched in Christchurch on 21 August 2024 with a new website and strong social media presence. Two days later the company opened its first physical store at the Riverside market.
Our goal is to offer a retail space, either physically or online where customers can choose from the widest possible selection of both branded jewellery and our own individually chosen pieces.

Silvermoon specialises in medium-priced gifts. There are plenty of jewellers selling highly-priced gold and diamond jewellery. There are plenty of retailers selling cheap, throwaway costume jewellery. We target the middle ground. Our average sale is between $50 and $300. Good quality jewellery, mainly sterling silver and watches that customers have come to trust over 24 years.
