Oi Manawa
Oi Manawa, the Canterbury earthquake national memorial, encompasses both banks of the Avon River.
The memorial wall was designed by Slovenian architect Grega Vezjak, fand was selected from over 330 submissions from around the world.
It pays respect to those who lost their lives, those who were seriously injured and survivors. The memorial also acknowledges the shared trauma and the support received during the response and recovery that followed.
