Empire Bar & Izakaya
More than a Yakitori Izakaya. More than a late night bar. We're taking Christchurch nightlife to the next level.
Empire Bar & Izakaya is dark and cavernous with nods to Japanese refinement. A series of intimate booths flank the wall, jewelled with an inferno of glistening red tiles.
A booth booking will enable you and your guests to bypass queues (fast track entry), providing you and your guests arrive at the venue as a group. Booths are bookable from 10pm on Friday and Saturday nights. You can enjoy exclusive use of the booth for the duration of the evening, with a dedicated server offering table service.
Our specialty at Empire Bar & Izakaya is Yakitori. We also serve Izakaya style dishes, designed to be shared and enjoyed by the whole table, much like Spanish tapas. The food is served to your table as soon as it is ready so that it is served in its perfect state.
There is DJ entertainment from 10.00pm onwards, Friday and Saturday nights. For functions, the Ronin Room can be used for cocktail style functions for up to 50 people. With your own bar and bathroom facilities, this is the perfect space for your next event.
