While she may not look it – Jo has been around forever and has been involved in the hairdressing and barbering trade for even longer!
During her apprenticeship (way back when) she won the NZ Apprentice of the Year and since then has gone on to win numerous hairdressing awards.
She has also owned a number of hairdressing businesses in Christchurch and Central Otago. She’s tutored in hairdressing at Awa and runs courses at the Christchurch Academy. And if all of that’s not enough she has also been a rep and educator for a number of hair product companies.
In 2020 Jo Started her Brooklyn Barbers and Babes shop in Akaroa which has been a roaring success and has given Jo the confidence to open another shop in Colombo Street Christchurch.
